Island View was a very complex project of environmental design along the salt water seashore as well as highly detailed architectural rooftop pool, patio’s trellis, boardwalks and lighting. This was a tour-de-force of Landscape Architectural design. We were responsible for all of the hardscape detail on the roof top gardens, pools spas and other hardscape elements. The key was to manage the rooftop penetrations, for the prevention of leaks while at the same time bringing irrigation up from the ground floor and distributing it to various beds and planters on the multiple roof top areas. We developed a shoreline feel along the pool with under lit boardwalks and sea oat plantings to bring the seaside feel to 5 stories up.
