PNC Bank

Terra Tectonics worked closely with Gensler Architects to develop a Low Impact Development (LID), Florida Friendly landscape design for this Net-Zero architectural project for PNC Bank. Net-Zero simply means the building is designed to give back as much as it uses in terms of energy and environmental impact. The landscape was designed with such features as the following: design to be compatible with the extensive use of solar panels on the site, Florida Friendly planting design with a concept of Coastal Florida uplands and freshwater marsh, porous paving for rain water absorption and reduced run-off, environmental plantings and nature trails, weather station controlled irrigation system, bio-swale stormwater design, existing large oak tree relocation program, compliance with the streetscape program for the City of Ft. Lauderdale, FDOT roadway planting compatibility, and the minimal use of high maintenance sod.
